The collection contains articles from the Santa Fe New Mexican, the Albuquerque journal, the Albuquerque tribune, and various other newspapers and magazines published during the 1960's and 1970's. The notes Nabokov made for his articles, as well as transcripts of some tapes, and extensive notes for the trial of Reies Lopez Tijerina are included. Drafts of the manuscripts of two books by Nabokov are included. One book, Tijerina and the courthouse raid, is based on notes, interviews, and clippings found in boxes 1-3. The other book, Two leggings, is based on the field notes of William Wildschut, who interviewed Two Leggings, a Crow warrier, in the 1920's. Materials relating to this book are in box 4. Book reviews of the two books are in the collection, as well as the correspondence of Mr. Nabokov with his publishers.
